Home Gym Tour 2026: My Ultra-Compact Modern Home Gym Office Built Around 3 Voltras

This is my 2026 home gym tour, and the whole setup is built around one main idea: how much training can you realistically fit into a very small space if you choose the right equipment?

My home gym is also my home office. It is less than 50 square feet and under 5 square meters, so this is not a giant dream garage gym with endless open floor space, multiple machines, a dumbbell wall, and room for every piece of equipment I want. It is the opposite. It is a compact, modern, highly efficient home gym setup where every piece has to justify its place.

The center of the entire gym is my 3 Beyond Power Voltra setup. I have not seen many people with three Voltras in one home gym, and honestly, I think that is the biggest wow factor of the whole room. The Voltras are the main resistance providers, the main cable system, and the reason this tiny home gym can do so much without taking up the space of a traditional functional trainer, cable crossover, lat pulldown, low row, and stack-loaded machines.

I also use a REP Fitness PR-5000 rack, REP BlackWing bench, Uclips attachments, Kensui Fitness accessories, GymPin attachments, Forte Fitness cable attachments, ergonomic handles, and a bunch of smaller pieces that make the setup more versatile. The result is a compact home gym that feels futuristic, efficient, and genuinely enjoyable to train in.

This is not the biggest home gym. It is not the cheapest home gym. I also would not call it the best home gym in the world, because that kind of claim is always a little ridiculous. But it is a very nice, modern, ultra-compact home gym tour, and for the amount of space I have, I am extremely happy with what it can do.

The second thing I would like is a pec fly and lateral raise attachment. Cables can already do flyes and lateral raises, but there is something very nice about a more guided, machine-like feel for those movements. A compact pec fly / lateral raise attachment would add a lot of value if it fit the space.

The easiest way to describe this gym is compact, modern, cable-focused, and extremely space-efficient. It is a home gym and home office in the same room, built in less than 50 square feet / less than 5 square meters, with the majority of the training versatility coming from three Beyond Power Voltras mounted around the REP PR-5000 rack.

The most unique part of this home gym is definitely the fact that it is built around 3 Beyond Power Voltras.

One Voltra is already a very interesting piece of equipment. Two Voltras can start to feel like a compact functional trainer. But three Voltras create a completely different level of versatility, especially in a very small room. I can use them for single-arm work, bilateral cable work, different cable heights, different pulling angles, assisted setups, rotational movements, isolation exercises, and compact full-body training.

The Voltras are basically the main resistance engines of my gym. Instead of relying on a massive cable machine with weight stacks, the Voltras allow me to create cable resistance in a much smaller footprint. That is the reason this room can feel like a real training space instead of just a rack squeezed into an office.

I also want to be very clear about my experience with them: I genuinely believe I am the number one Voltra user. I do not say that lightly. I have used them constantly, for a long time, across a huge range of exercises and setups. I have tested them for bodybuilding movements, cable exercises, home gym hacks, attachment experiments, compact gym solutions, and content creation. What I use the Voltras for

The short answer is: almost everything.

The long answer is that the Voltras are my main cable system, functional trainer, compact resistance source, and exercise experimentation tool. In a small home gym, that kind of versatility matters more than almost anything else.

I use the Voltras for chest work, back work, arms, shoulders, abs, neck training, leg accessories, rows, pulldowns, curls, triceps, flyes, lateral raises, face pulls, cable presses, cable crunches, preacher curls, and a lot of movements that would normally require either a full cable stack or a much larger machine.

For chest, the Voltras allow cable flyes, cable presses, incline-style cable movements, and different pressing angles depending on how I set the bench and cables. For back, they give me rows, pulldown variations, upper rows, low rows, and single-arm cable work. For arms, they are incredible for curls, triceps pushdowns, overhead extensions, Bayesian-style curls, preacher curl setups, and different handle variations.

For shoulders, I can do lateral raises, rear delt flyes, face pulls, upright row variations, and pressing assistance. For abs, I can do cable crunches and rotational core movements. For neck training, I can combine the Voltra with the Kensui EZ-Neck and GymPin-style cable setups. For legs, the limitations are more obvious because the space is small and I do not have a full leg extension / leg curl machine yet, but I can still do belt squat-style ideas, cable leg work, and creative lower-body accessories.

The best part is that the Voltras make these movements possible without filling the room with machines. That is the magic of this setup.

The REP PR-5000 is the main structure of my home gym. In a compact setup like this, the rack is not just a place to squat or bench. It becomes the anchor point for the whole room.

The rack gives me mounting options, stability, attachment compatibility, pull-up options, cable angles, and a central place to build the rest of the gym around. With the Voltras attached to the setup, the rack becomes much more than a traditional power rack. It becomes the frame for a compact cable system, attachment station, and exercise platform.

A rack like the PR-5000 makes sense in a gym like this because it is strong, modular, and serious enough to build around. In a small home gym, I do not want flimsy equipment or pieces that only do one thing. The main rack has to be something I can trust and keep adapting over time.

Why a compact home gym works so well

Owning a home gym is not just about the equipment. It changes the entire training experience.

The biggest benefit for me is not having to go to crowded commercial gyms. I do not have to wait for machines, deal with busy peak hours, commute, pack a bag, or adjust my workout around whatever equipment is available. Everything is right there.

That saves time, but it also improves consistency. If the gym is in your home, the barrier to training becomes much lower. You can get a workout in when you have a small window of time. You can train more efficiently. You can film content. You can test equipment. You can experiment with new exercises without feeling like you are taking up space in a public gym.

The limitations of this setup

As much as I like this gym, there are real limitations.

The first limitation is cost. This is not a cheap setup. Three Voltras, a serious rack, a premium adjustable bench, and a large collection of attachments add up quickly. I think the experience is worth it, but I would never pretend this is a budget build.

The second limitation is space. Less than 50 square feet is extremely compact. The whole point of this gym is that it does a lot in a tiny area, but there are still things I simply cannot fit. I cannot have every machine I want. I cannot keep adding equipment endlessly. Every new item has to be judged against the space it takes up.

The third limitation is availability. Being in the EU makes some things much harder. There are fewer options available compared to the US market, and even budget equipment can become expensive once shipping, import fees, VAT, and availability issues come into play. Something that looks affordable in the US can become completely unreasonable by the time it reaches Europe.

This is one of the frustrating parts of building a home gym in Europe. You see amazing products online, but actually getting them can be expensive, slow, or impossible. That is why I value compact, versatile equipment so much. If I am going to pay a lot to get something here, it needs to do more than one job.

The first thing I want is a leg extension and leg curl machine or attachment. Leg extensions and leg curls are two of the biggest missing pieces in many compact home gyms. They are simple, effective bodybuilding movements, but dedicated machines take up a lot of space. I would love to find a compact attachment or machine that gives me proper leg extension and leg curl training without destroying the room layout.

The second thing I would like is a pec fly and lateral raise attachment. Cables can already do flyes and lateral raises, but there is something very nice about a more guided, machine-like feel for those movements. A compact pec fly / lateral raise attachment would add a lot of value if it fit the space.

The third thing I would like is either a converging smith machine or a Push N Pull-style arm system. A converging smith machine would be very interesting for pressing movements, machine-style chest work, shoulder work, and possibly safer solo training. Push N Pull-style arms are also very appealing because they seem to fit the exact theme of this gym: more movement options in less space.

The problem, again, is space and availability. I do not want to ruin the compact efficiency of the gym by adding something too large. I also do not want to pay a fortune importing something that may or may not fit the room perfectly. So the wishlist is there, but anything I add has to make sense.

I like cable exercises, attachments, creative setups, compact equipment, and modern home gym solutions. I am not trying to recreate a giant commercial gym inside a tiny room. That would not work. Instead, the setup is built around versatility and efficiency.

The Voltras give me resistance. The rack gives me structure. The bench gives me positioning. The attachments give me exercise variety. Together, they create a home gym that feels much bigger than it is.

That is the key lesson from this setup: a small home gym does not need to feel limited if the equipment choices are smart. You do not need every machine. You need equipment that solves multiple problems.

For someone else, the ideal compact home gym might look completely different. If you mostly powerlift, you might prioritize a rack, barbell, plates, and platform. If you mostly do bodybuilding, you might prioritize cables, benches, attachments, and machines. If you mostly do general fitness, you might need even less.

For me, this setup makes sense because it supports the way I train, the way I film, and the way I create content for Mind Muscle Perfection.

Is an ultra-compact premium home gym worth the money?

I think it can be, as long as you remain somewhat reasonable with your buying decisions.

That does not mean buying the cheapest possible equipment. Sometimes cheap equipment ends up being expensive because it does not feel good, does not last, does not fit the space, or gets replaced later. But it also does not mean buying everything you see online. A home gym can become a never-ending spending trap if you do not think carefully.

The sweet spot is buying equipment that you will actually use, that fits your space, and that improves your training experience enough to justify the cost.

For me, this gym is worth it because it saves time, keeps me consistent, helps me avoid crowded commercial gyms, supports my content creation, and gives me a training space I genuinely enjoy using. I can train when I want, film when I want, test equipment when I want, and keep improving the setup over time.

That experience is hard to put a simple price on.
